The Aviation Designee Association has been created to guide and represent FAA appointed maintenance, manufacturing and other interested entities and individuals through the complexities of the aviation designee environment and to provide assistance in navigating the dramatic changes occurring.

Goals

Our primary focus is to provide effective leadership to all members by focusing on the regulatory and guidance aspects of the delegation with an emphasis on improving methods, skills and communication. About the Founder

Susan Fournier
Founder and chief, AeroPro, Inc.

Susan Fournier is head of the aviation maintenance consulting firm, AeroPro, based in Freeport, Maine. She has spent the last 30 years in aviation maintenance. She started her career in the Air Force and transitioned to civil aviation working for FBOs in Colorado, California and the Puget Sound area where she eventually landed a position as an Airworthiness Inspector with the Federal Aviation Administration. In 2001, she left the FAA to start a successful maintenance consulting business. Since that time she has assisted many applicants in achieving Part 145 Repair Station status both foreign and domestic.

Over the years Susan has been the recipient of many awards, including the 1998 FAA Maintenance Field Inspector of the Year. She is a certificated Airframe and Powerplant Technician and maintains an Inspection Authorization. She is also an FAA Designated Airworthiness Representative for both maintenance and manufacturing, and is an FAA FAAST team member.
